Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Now and at the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the father, to the son and to the Holy Spirit. As in the beginning is now and ever shall be, a world without end, amen. In the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit, amen. You may be seated now please.

Congregation:

[inaudible 00:00:37].

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

We gather, like we said, in prayer. We have already put ourselves into God’s hands and this is wonderful. Because what does that say about us? What it says about us as Christians, those of us that are Catholic, those of you from another faith, another denomination, what does that say? That we are believers. That’s what that says when we pray. I would tell my Catholic people, I said, “How long does it take God to come to you when you start praying.” People say, “Well, does he hear my prayer right away?” I said, “Yeah, because you’re a Catholic, as soon as you say in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit, amen, God is there ready to hear us?”

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

As we gather today yes, we gather as Christians, brothers and sisters. Because we are Christians. That’s how we gather. A Christian, a real true Christian and there’s other kinds of Christians, but the real true Christian always will gather in faith and in trust in the Lord. Trust in the Lord. This is not over. You are not over. I am not over. We will never be over because if we’re Christians we believe in the resurrection of Christ. Christ Rose from the dead on the third day and what he did was give us a great hope. About what? The great hope of there is another life because Jesus has told it like St. Paul reminds us, we were buried with Christ in baptism and then so we could also raise up with him and it was to live a new life.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

This is the new life that the resurrection is all about. The new life, the resurrection of Christ and resurrection is coming to all of us, is coming also to Ernest. He’s already beat us. He will rise first. Probably I’ll go tomorrow and will rise second, all right, and then the rest of us. No, but this is our faith. This is our faith. This evening we gather here to pray and remember what the life of Ernest, because we don’t talk anymore about how he died. No, we never mentioned that anymore, because now that Jesus Christ has risen and resurrected, we celebrate life now.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

That is very important for us to remember. A real true Christian never celebrates a death because why? Because Jesus has won the victory over sin and death. Si, so over sin and death so that that’s been destroyed by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, by his blood and resurrection. That has been destroyed. In order for us to be able to live a new life, Jesus had to destroy that for us, so there’s no reason why we should sin anymore. If you’re a Catholic, go to confession and that’s it, no more. No more, because it’s important. It’s important to God and it should be important to us too. Yes, Jesus told Peter, “How many times do I have to forgive? Seven times, no. Not seven times, but 70×7.” And God forgives us more than those times.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

But it should stopped, mijos. It’s just stopped and I have the power of the Holy Spirit in my life because it was given to me in my baptism and my confirmation and the holy sacraments of the church. I have that power. I have that power in me to say no to sin and death. I have that power in me. But we have to use that power. If not, then we’re going to wander off in sin land, sin world or sin where we live, sin continue which we shouldn’t. I know sometimes we blame our sinfulness on weakness and we say, “Well, because I’m a human being and I’m weak.” No, you should never say that because if you are baptized, then you have been reborn again of water and spirit. We have been reborn again in Christ. We have that power within us.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Ernest had it. I grew up with Ernest in [foreign language 00:05:32]. We went to school together. Been a long time but I’m not going to tell you how long, but it’s been a long time. We went to school together and what I want to say about Ernest is this. It’s very important that… and we knew him. A very simple man, a very humble man that God loved very much. He’s an example for us. He’s an example because a lot of people aren’t simple. A lot of people are very arrogant and so forth and so on. They’re not humble, but this one, we were going to school together, he wasn’t loud, he wasn’t shouting, he wasn’t running here and running there and doing all of these things that we do, crazy things when we’re going to school and all of that. Very quiet, very humble, very simple.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

I learned something from Ernest and I’m working on that in my life to become very humble and very quiet in my life. But most of the time we’re allowed gurda. The Corona that’s going on now, we’ve gotten very loud, right? We’re going crazy at home. We can’t get out. Si? Everybody’s going crazy and I usually tell people these days, “Man, you sure look good?” He says, “Well, why do you say that?” I said, “Well, you’re all caged up. You’re all locked up at home. You look very good.” Now I think everybody is rested and having a great time at home, but no, not really. Some of us when we come here, we have to remember also Ernest and we have to remember ourselves too, because this is very, very important. It is very, very important.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Two realities. One of them we’re seeing right now, the other one is coming for each and every one of us. The first one is that we’re going to pass from this life to the other. We’re all gonna die. But if you’re a real Christian and you follow Christ and you have come to contact with Jesus Christ, you love him, you serve him and you follow him, you have nothing to worry about. Nothing, absolutely nothing. I used to tell people when I do funerals and preaching and a lot of retreat work, “What would you do if Jesus was to come right now?” If all of a sudden everything was out of order, what would you do?” A man told me, “I’d run to the bank and get my money.” I said, “It’s Sunday, stay here at mass.” A lady told me, :I’ll call my mom, tell her to go get the kids at the nursery.” I said, “You won’t have time.”

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

When Jesus Christ comes it’ll be like the blink of an eye. Quick muertos, quick and guess what? We’re not going to be together like we are here right now. I’ll probably be preaching somewhere in the world. Margherita will be at home. All my children will be at their work and then my grandkids would be at college doing this and doing that. We’re all going to be at different places. We’re not going to be together and God will come and take us wherever we’re at. That’s why it’s very important on this great work of God that is called love. That’s why it’s very important that we love God and we love our neighbor.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

The neighbor that we have is our marriage is the first of all. Love each other. I know we can’t stand Corona Virus right now, each other. We’re probably fighting more than we ever did. But anyway love your children, embrace, kiss and talk and share a meal and just sit quietly with each other. See, that is love. I think God because He has shut the whole world down, only God can do that. There’s a little cartoon that came out where the devil said, “I close the doors of your church, Jesus.” You know how Jesus responded? “Oh no, not really because I opened up one in every home in the world.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Hmm. See how beautiful that is? See, our home. It was very important. This is the first one, [foreign language 00:09:58]. Let me read the holy scripture for you. I want to use you. Come on [Anez 00:10:04], get my Bible for me please, will you? Here put my little card there. Open it up and pull it out for me. The reason that I have a lot of people do things for me because I’m a sick man. Some people look at me [foreign language 00:10:20], “Ah, you look good. I mean, you lost about 50 pounds.” [foreign language 00:10:24], “No, I’ve gained about 50, but you just can’t see it.” But I have two heart attacks, I’m working on four years of pneumonia. I was in the hospital for a month and therapy and things like that. I’m a diabetic and all that. I’m 77 years old. Si, [foreign language 00:10:44].

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

You got it? Don’t forget that. All right. Because God made me that way, it’s not my fault. It’s not my fault, God made me that way. You see, but I’m still here. All of my friends in the barrio, we grew up in the streets in the barrio, over half of them and more of them, maybe 80%, 90% of them have died and I’m still here. But you’re a good girl. I’m still here and I’m not pushing it. I’m not saying, “God, you need to take me now.” I said, “No, I’m going to serve you God as long as you want me to, because I know there will come a day when I will not be here no more.” Don’t be surprised when you see me in a wheelchair soon. I’m losing all my strength in my legs and in my feet because of the diabetes and one day I won’t be able to walk anymore.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Then one day I might not be able to talk anymore tambien. I’ve done this work for almost 50 years in the church. It’s bound to run out one of these days and maybe not. All right. Please, I’m going to ask you now, please don’t say [foreign language 00:12:06], pobrecito, poor guy, look at him, man. Look at him. No, that doesn’t help me. You know what helps me, a hundred dollars in my hand, a hundred dollar bill in my hand. That is what helps me [foreign language 00:12:24].

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

I’ll tell you the story about that. When I got my first heart attack, I went to the church, to mass and a lot of people saw me and they would tell me, “Do you need anything, Deacon, anything?” I would say, “No, I don’t need anything from you. Bye. Go away.” Then other people, [Anez 00:12:44] give me your hand, and they’d shake my hand and say, “Here Deacon, God bless you and help yourself.” And they put a dollar bill, not $1, many dollar. I came home with about 1,600 in four masses in one Sunday. Then the children there, the young people that I work with at Guadalupe, they did a cake sale for me the next week. On Monday they brought a bag full of money and they said, “Here Deacon, we did this for you so you can help.” See they weren’t saying pobrecito. I was laying in the bed but they didn’t say, “Pobrecito here, so you can help yourself.” They brought me $6,000.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

You see there. Pobrecito, an empty bag doesn’t help me, a full bag will all the time. There we go. All right, let’s read the scripture. Pay attention to this scripture because the scripture has to do with all of us, [foreign language 00:13:42]. It comes from 2 Kings, chapter 20. This is about the time King Hezekiah became sick and almost died. The prophet Isaiah, son of Amos was sent to him and said to him, “The Lord tells you that you are to put everything in order because you will not recover. Get ready to die.” Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed, “Remember Lord, that I have served you faithfully and loyally and I have served you well and that I always tried to do what you wanted me to do.” And he began to cry bitterly.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Isaiah left the King, but before he had passed through the central courtyard of the palace, the Lord told him, “Go back to Hezekiah, ruler of the Lord’s people and say to him, I the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, have heard your prayer and have seen your tears. I will heal you and in three days you will go to the temple. I will let you live 15 years longer.” The word of the Lord, give it an applaud please. Give it an applaud.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

We always want to pray [inaudible 00:15:01]. Thank you. Put it back. You can look for a scripture if you want to and after I’m done yet, then you follow. When we listened to that scripture, it talks about a King, King Hezekiah. He got very sick and God sent the prophet Isaiah to tell him to put his house in order because he was not going to get well. He was going to die. What is happening with the Corona Virus, those that have died even before they died and those that have it now, you know what they’re doing right now? They’re putting their life in order. That’s what happens to people when a disaster happens to them, an accident, a sickness and maybe some even of us worry so much over problem, anxiety, depression. But that’s what happens.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

We begin to connect ourselves with God immediately. But God, in his great wisdom, he sent the prophet Isaiah to tell him that he was going to die, that he was not going to live, that he was going to die, to get his house in order. Of course, when you are told that you are going to die, of course the first thing you do is it’s a great shock. When I had my first heart attack and they wheeled me into the hospital, the nurse saw me, she said, “You are dying of a heart attack.” Oh my God, no, please don’t. The first thought that came to my mind, “I don’t want to die. I did not come to the hospital to die. I have a heart attack, help me please.”

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

God is so good. You know who God sent? Not the prophet Isaiah, but Dr. Michael Miller. As soon as I got to the hospital, he was bursting in the emergency room and then somebody said, “Hey, Dr. Miller…” He’s a cardiologist. He said, “Would you like to attend to this man because he’s dying of a heart attack.” He came over and attended to me and when he found out that I was a deacon at Our Lady Guadalupe church, he didn’t charge me one penny. He did it all free. [foreign language 00:17:24]. Hang around with me then maybe we get to go to the hospital together, maybe zero balance. See there. But this is God’s doing.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Here we have Ernest tambien. In his sickness or in his life, in everything, also God was right there with him. God was right there with him as God is right here with us. That’s the word what means Emmanuel. Emmanuel in the old Testament was the prophet Isaiah. He says, when a woman would be left with child and she will have a son and she will call him Emmanuel, which means God is with us. Amen. God is with us and he was with him. Then I was thinking a while ago as I was coming here and I said, “Hezekiah, he wasn’t baptized. King Hezekiah wasn’t baptized to be saved.” Of course that time if God wants to save you, you don’t need to be baptized, right? God can do whatever he wants to. But this man was baptized and on the day of his baptism when the waters were poured on his forehead, whether sprinkle a little water or water was poured on his forehead, the words were pronounced by the holy church.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

“Ernest, I baptize you in the name of the father.” And water was poured on his forehead, in the name of the son and more water, in the name of the Holy spirit, more water. At that moment, God embraced Ernest, his creation of a man and made him his son. Wow. God would never create nothing that he’s not going to love and take care of. He will always love and take care of what he has created and that’s all of us here. Si, that’s all of us that are here. So I cry too. [foreign language 00:19:27], wow. If you ever have a heart attack, be sure he get your box of Kleenex today because it’s coming one of these days. All right.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

There I was and I was crying and I was pleading the Lord, “Have mercy on my soul, Lord. I don’t want to die. Jesus. I don’t want to die. My family, my wife, my children are here and my wife was there with me and my oldest daughter and all of that. “I don’t want to die, Jesus.” You don’t want to leave your family. You don’t want to leave the place. The Lord heard my prayer like he heard Hezekiah’s prayer. And when he heard his prayer, God told him through the prophet Isaiah, “I have heard your prayer and I have seen your tears. I have seen your heart.” What does that reveal to us in the scripture? The love of God. That God loves us so much that he will do whatever it takes to help us and he listens to our prayers. There’s something good in there that the prophet has… I mean, that King Hezekiah did, just like you. Sometimes we think that we haven’t done anything good. Sometimes we think that all we do is awful, all we do is sin, all we do is evil. No. God is the one that knows your heart and if God is the only one that knows your heart, he knows the goodness that you do in your heart and that is called a saint.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Do you believe that you are a saint right now? Please raise your hand if you believe you’re saint. One, two, is that it? [foreign language 00:21:09]. One time, let me tell you a little story here. Please, come in. Let me tell you a little story here about a saint. This person was praying to God and this person probably was a not a very good person, probably I would say, not even a very good Christian. He was saying, “There’s nobody, God, that could ever please you because the sinfulness that we are, the evil that we are, God, we could never please you God.” God said, “Oh no, you’re wrong. I have a saint right here in this city where you live. I have a Saint right here.” He says, “Really God?” And God told him, “Would you like to meet him?” And he said, “Yeah, I’d like to meet him.” He says, “Tomorrow morning get up and go to the little Plaza there and there’s a meat cutter station there and look at the meat cutter. Look at him.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

He gets up early in the morning and goes there and he watches the meat cutter. Oh, he had a beautiful mouth, he cursed everybody that went through there, cucarachas, dogs, cats, everybody and he flirted with all the women and boy, he was really singing all day long. Then that guy talks about this time of the day, four or five o’clock in the afternoon, he says, “This cannot be the saint. I’m sorry God, but this cannot be the saint.? “Then just go over there and introduce yourselves to him.” God told him. So he goes over there and he introduces himself and he says, “God told me that you are a saint.” Then he flirted out some more, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten of those nice words that he says. He was laughing and cursing and carrying on and he said, “Now, I’m ready to close up, have you eaten?” The guy says, “No, I haven’t eaten.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

“Well, come home, I’ll take you home. Come on, let’s go to my house and I’ll give you something to eat.” So he took him home. As soon as he got there, the wife said, “Honey, the food is ready. Oh, you brought somebody to share a meal with us, I’ll set three plates.” She set them up and they said their prayer and all of that and then the meat cutter, he picks up his plates and he goes to the other room and then the guy says, “Where is he going? What is he doing?” She says, “Oh, there’s somebody in there.” He says that he takes care of… he changes the bed, the pillows and if he’s messed in his diaper, he’ll change his diaper, clean him up, bathe him, just take care of him. He said, “Who is that? Is that his father.” She says, “No, that’s not his father.” “Is that his brother?” “No, that’s not his brother.” “Is that his son?” “No, that’s not his son.” “Who is he?” She says, “That’s the man that killed his father.”

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

She says, “My husband found him one day, very sick out in the street and he took him in and he brought him and he’s been taking care of him for the longest time. But that man that he takes care of is the man that killed his father.” You see what a saint is made out of? A saint is made out of love. Here is a man that I could say Ernesto, a saint, because of his baptism, because of being a son of God, because of his marriage in the church, because he did something beautiful in his life in the church. I remember him, always come to mass and I will give you communion, the Holy Eucharist. It was all a very simple, sometimes in the hand. See, he lived his faith. Very simple, like we said at the beginning, very simple and very humble, but receive the sacraments. Very humble in taking care of this beautiful lady here and the family and everything.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

See, that’s what a saint is made out of. He is made out of pure love. He has made out of the love of God and he shares that love. He’s not angry, he doesn’t hold resentment. He doesn’t hate anybody. He loves everyone. You see what the meat cutter did, the first thing he did? “Have you eaten? Come on, I’ll take you home and feed you.” See, that is love. That is loved, [foreign language 00:25:28]. That is love. Then God through the prophet, Isaiah promised King Hezekiah, he promises something very beautiful. He promised him 15 more years of life.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

His house was really out of order, don’t you think so? His house was really out of order. This reminds us, how’s your house? How’s my house? My house is out of order, [foreign language 00:25:59]. I have to work hard every day. Every day I have to work hard and put my house in order before I die. I thought I was going to die at the age of 50 with my first heart attack. At the age of 70 with my second one I thought I was going to die then. No, I’m waiting for the third one. Maybe that one, that’ll be the big one, that’ll be the one that’ll do it. All right. But I don’t know and you don’t know either how much time you have left. But King Hezekiah, he knew how much time he had left. He could actually calculate as a King and “God gave me 15 years from this moment to that moment.”

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

See, Jesus knew when he was to die. He knew very well when he was going to crucified, three hours on the cross and then he knew when he was going to die. See, King Hezekiah knew when he was going to die. It would be wonderful if we knew when we were going to die. That’s why it’s very important brothers and sisters to bring ourselves to repentance of sin. If you’re a Catholic go to confession. That priests, Father David, that we have in our parish, Our Lady Guadalupe and all priests in the Catholic church, they have been given power by Christ after the resurrection. Whose ever sins you forgive are forgiven, whose ever since you do not forgive her are not forgiven, the sacrament of reconciliation. The more we confess, the more we get closer to our heavenly home with Christ. See, the forgiveness of sins, very, very important.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Of course, Ernest in his life also celebrated the sacrament of the forgiveness of his sins. Because if he came to receive communion every Sunday, it means that he was ready. [foreign language 00:27:46]. He took advantage of that presence of Christ in his life and we should do the same. We should take advantage every precious moment that I have in this earth, I should take advantage of Christ. I should take advantage of my salvation because I don’t know. We don’t know when the Lord is going to call us, [foreign language 00:28:10]. Guess what? We don’t have to be sick to die. I’ve gone to the hospitals in 43 years as the deacons, I’ve seen many people die and I’ve buried many people. I’ve gone to the hospital and there’s the mother with a dead baby in her womb. I’ve seen some that are holding the baby, they don’t want to let it go, it was just born and he died. I’ve seen some little fellows that are, three or four or five, six days old, one year old, two year olds, 10 year olds, 20, 30, 40, and you can take it on.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

See, death has no respect for life. See, we’ll die. This is very, very important, [foreign language 00:28:51] for us to realize that. Let us remember Ernesto in a very special way because he was special to all of us. To his family and to all of us that are here today and even more people. More people because if there’s one thing about a saint, is there’s one thing about a good man and a good woman, especially like Ernest, you don’t forget that. You don’t forget about that person. You will always remember what he said, what he did and all his life, how was it lived? His life was lived with God and his wife and his family and with all the people that got brought close to him. See, this is what our life is about. God, family, church, people around us. It’s a life of service. It’s a life of love first of all, a life of love and it’s a life of service and it’s a life of sacrifice. Those three things are very important and we’re doing them.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

We’ve all done part or some or more of this in our lifetime and if we’re still here [foreign language 00:30:07], there is still more to do, much, much more to do. With that, we want to finish up the preaching on the scriptures for Ernest. Now we’re going to pray the Holy Rosary. The Holy rosary, we’re going to pray the glorious mysteries. The first glorious mystery, the resurrection of Christ. The second glorious mystery, when Christ was taken up to heaven to sit at the right hand of the father, to intercede for us. From there, he shall come to judge the living and the dead. The third ministry, when he sent the Holy Spirit and Pentecost upon Peter and the apostles and the church to begin the work of the church. The fourth ministry, when Mary was taken up to heaven in body and soul and the fifth mystery when Mary was crowned, given the crown of glory to be queen of heaven and earth. That’s what we’re going to remember about Jesus and Mary and also remember Ernest, his wife and his family and his children. Amen.

Congregation:

Amen.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Amen. In the name of the father, the son, the Holy spirit. Amen. Do those chairs come undone, mija? See, [foreign languge 00:31:16]. Bring me a chair here or is this one here… [foreign language 00:31:20]. Okay. Maria.

Congregation:

[inaudible 00:31:23].

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

[foreign language 00:31:25], right here. Face it, no, face it… let me face this. Thank you. I knew I was going to use you today. All right, here we go.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

In the name of the father, the son, the Holy Spirit. Amen. Gracious Father, we offer this rosary now Lord for the soul of Ernest, Lord. May his soul rest in peace, God. Of all his hard work that he did here on the face of the earth, Lord, the family that you gave him, his wife, his children, his grandchildren, all of his family, Lord, and all the hard toil of his work, heavenly father. And he completed that work well, Lord, because the way that you created him, simple and humble, Lord, that’s how he lived his life, Lord. Also as a Christian and as a Catholic, Lord, he took advantage of every moment to receive the sacraments, especially confession and the Holy Eucharist, Lord. We can even say that he prepared well for this moment when you would call him from this life to your life for all eternity.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

We also want to remember his wife and his children and his family, Lord, now, because it is difficult to lose a loved one and also it is very difficult for him not to be there no more. But in our faith, he will always live in our hearts, our minds, our souls, and in our spirits. We offer this rosary for him and for his family. In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Amen. I believe in God, the Father almighty creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of God, the Father almighty, from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Catholic church. I believe in one’s baptism for the forgiveness of sins and the life that is to come, the resurrection of Christ. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Congregation:

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

The three Hail Mary, we pray for the Holy Father, his intention today is about the Corona Virus. That everybody would be protected, to keep the distance, wear your mask and protect yourself because the virus can… we can catch the virus. Please let’s obey what the medical people are telling us that we should need to do, protect ourselves and let us thank God today if you don’t have the Corona Virus. Let us thank God because in his great mercy, it hasn’t happened to us yet. Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Congregation:

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Congregation:

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

Congregation:

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. The first glorious mystery, the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Think about it, when Jesus resurrected, he did not have one cut in his body, no wounds, no blood. The only wounds that he had to prove that he had risen were those of his hands and in his side and he resurrected to live forever at the right hand of the father and that’s also our resurrection. Let us live as a resurrected people in Christ. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. The second glorious mystery, Jesus Christ is taken up to heaven after the resurrection. He had to go back to heaven in order for the Father to send us the gift of the Holy Spirit. What a great price that Jesus paid, that God would give us His Holy Spirit after the resurrection of Christ. The other thing that Jesus did when he went to heaven, he went to prepare a place for us and he promised us in the scriptures not only to prepare a place for us, but when he had done that, that he would come back and take us to that place so that we could be where he is for all eternity. Now Ernest has gone to that place that God has prepared for him. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. The third glorious mystery, when the father sent the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, upon the church on the day of Pentecost. If we have been baptized, we have been confirmed as Catholics in our faith. We have received that Holy Spirit from God, the plentitude, the fullness of the spirit of God and also through the Holy sacraments of the church. Every time we received the Eucharist, go to confession, anointing, get married in the church, priesthood, Holy Spirit’s work is being done through every sacrament. Also the Holy Spirit was given to us by God for what reason? He said, “You will receive power Jesus promise to the apostles to be my witnesses throughout the whole world and to be a witness of Christ.” It means that we pray, we meditate, we read, we learn, we study and most importantly, we practice the Christian new life that God has given to us through Christ our Lord. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. Thank you Jesus. The fourth glorious mystery, when our blessed mother was taken up to heaven and earth. A lot of people don’t believe that. That’s because it’s not in the scriptures. God took Elijah. He wasn’t like Mary. Elijah probably was a prophet. Yes, sinful like all the rest, but God took him to heaven in body and soul in that chariot when he came and picked him up and took him to heaven. We do believe that Mary has taken to have an embodied soul because God wanted a mother. Mary is mother of God, mother of Christ and God also wanted a queen in heaven. The kingdom of God is being completed and we could say, it’s already completed. All that it needs is the coming of Christ to save all of those that are going to be saved on the last day.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Mary is one that intercedes for us. That’s why we say the Hail Mary, full of grace. One that would ask Jesus for us. She knows our needs and the greatest need that we have is the need of faith and trust and believing God. That is the greatest need that we have. We don’t pray to Mary. No. We pray with Mary to help us to save our souls on the last day. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be that name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Congregation:

Oh my Jesus forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. The last mystery, our blessed mother is crowned the queen of heaven and earth. In Revelation 12, we read in Revelation where it says a woman crowned with 12 stars and she is crowned queen because God not only wanted a mother, he also wanted a queen for his kingdom that would be established for all eternity at the end of the world. One day brothers and sisters, when Jesus comes to judge us, we’ll meet him in the clouds. We won’t be standing on the earth anymore. We’ll meet him in the clouds and there is where Jesus will hand to each one of us a reward. A reward that will be given to us according to our deeds. Whatever we did, good or bad, right or wrong, Jesus will repay us on that day. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Hail holy queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this Valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet virgin Mary, pray for us, O holy mother of God that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Deacon Jesse Guajardo :

Thank you very much. Muchas gracias, muchísimas gracias. You have done a great act of love tonight all of us that are here. We have talked to God in prayer for the soul of Ernest. We have talked to God in prayer for his family and we have talked to God in His holy scriptures for all of us that are here this evening. Oh, how blessed we are. That concludes the Rosary, tomorrow the mass will be at 10 o’clock at Our Lady of Guadalupe church. It’s not in the church, it’ll be in the shrine. Then from there, we’re going to come back and we’re going to do the burial here. Almighty God bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Thank you and God bless you all. Amen. [foreign language 00:54:27]
