Inspiring People

You can use your grief to inspire others. Do not let your situation define who you are. Pen down the circumstances that you have had to go through so others can read about them and be inspired. Journaling or blogging can serve as an outlet for you to pen down your sorrow and thoughts that other people who are going through the same ordeal can seek inspiration from.

Providing Comfort Through Skills

If you know of somebody else who is going through a similar situation of grief, provide them with comfort. You can build them a personal handmade gift or cook them something they love. Make use of the skills you have to reach out to the grieving so they can feel comforted through your actions.

Creating Initiatives

Turn something you are passionate about into an initiative that can benefit others. If you like helping others, join a volunteer group or support a cause. For hobbyists, you can build your own club and provide a platform where people with similar interests can get together and find joy doing something they love.

Be Kind to Others

The power of kindness can change lives. You can change the course of a person’s day by simply delivering kindness their way. You may be going through grief that causes you to become emotional. However, when you reach out to somebody and do something kind for them, you will feel the ripple effect of kindness going back to you.

Giving Compliments

Give compliments to your friends and family. When you make their day, it will put a smile on their faces, thus passing on the joy back to you. It does not need to be something huge. Compliment their hair, shirt, or something small that they will appreciate.

Support a Small Business

Support a small business near you. Every sale transaction matters for small businesses and regardless of the sum that you spend, they will truly appreciate your business. This in turn will make you feel better about being able to help a business out.

Reach Out to Someone Struggling

Not everyone reaches out to others when they are going through a difficult time. Reach out to someone whom you know may struggling with some things in their lives. Let them know that you are always around for them so as to make them feel loved and appreciated.
